Part 1: Vocabulary – Family Members (Familiemedlemmer)
Let’s start by mapping out the family members mentioned in the song.
Key Nouns:
- En familie: A family
- Mor / Mamma: Mother / Mom
- Far / Pappa: Father / Dad
- Søster: Sister
- Bror: Brother (Lillebror = Little brother)
- En katt: A cat
Introduction Phrases:
- Jeg heter…: My name is…
- Jeg er … år: I am … years old.
- Jeg bor i…: I live in…
Part 2: Grammar Focus – My (Min, Mi, Mitt, Mine)
In English, we just say “My”. In Norwegian, the word for “My” changes based on the gender of the word coming after it.
The Rules:
- Min + Masculine/Feminine words (en words).
- Min far (My father)
- Min mor (My mother)
- Mitt + Neuter words (et words).
- Mitt hus (My house)
- Mitt lag (My team)
- Mine + Plural words (flertall).
- Mine sko (My shoes)
- Mine foreldre (My parents)

Part 3: Adjectives – Opposites (Motsetninger)
