Paid Member Subscriptions: How to make all pages visible to non-login guests

The issue is probably coming from the Global Content Restriction add-on, you cannot simply “reset” the add-on with a single button. Instead, you have two options: either remove the specific bad rule (recommended) or turn off the add-on entirely.

Here is how to do both.

Option 1: Remove the specific rule (Recommended)

This add-on works by attaching “Global Rules” to your specific Subscription Plans. This is why you couldn’t find a central “Settings” page for it—the settings are hidden inside your plans.

  1. Go to Paid Member SubscriptionsSubscription Plans.
  2. Edit each of your plans (e.g., “Gold” or “Free”).
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the Global Content Restriction box.
  4. Look for a rule that restricts “Post Type: Page” or “Taxonomy”.
  5. Click the “Remove” or “X” button next to that rule.
  6. Click Save Subscription.
  7. Repeat this for every subscription plan you have.

Once you remove the rule from the plan, the global block will disappear, and your individual page settings will work again.

Option 2: Turn off the Add-on (The “Nuclear” Option)

If you don’t use global rules at all and just want to restrict pages manually one by one, you can simply disable this feature.

  1. Go to Paid Member SubscriptionsAdd-ons
  2. Find Global Content Restriction in the list.
  3. Click Deactivate.

This effectively “resets” the behavior by stopping the plugin from looking for any global rules.

Next Step: After doing this, clear your cache and check the page in an Incognito window. Did that solve it? Let me know in the comments
