Polar bear long swim

Polar bears are exceptional swimmers, capable of navigating the frigid Arctic waters with remarkable endurance. Swimming from one iceberg to another can take them anywhere from one to almost ten days, depending on the distance and conditions. Their powerful limbs and buoyant bodies are well-suited for long-distance swimming, allowing them to cover vast expanses of ocean in search of food or new habitat. Despite the challenges posed by icy waters and shifting icebergs, polar bears’ remarkable swimming abilities are crucial for their survival in the rapidly changing Arctic environment.
