Affix Alchemist: learning Norwegian prefixes, suffixes in a game

Concept

The player is a young alchemist in a Norwegian mountain laboratory. They combine magical prefixes (front potions) and suffixes (end crystals) with root words to create new words and spells. Correct combinations teach real Norwegian word formation and help players guess the meaning of unknown words.

Core Activities    

– Potion Brewing: Match a prefix or suffix to its meaning (multiple choice or drag-and-drop).    

– Word Transformation: Start with a root word and correctly add prefix and/or suffix to create the target word.
